What's Going On?

Gymnastics started again. I'm so happy. I feel like I'm so close to getting my back handspring on the floor. I have it on any other thing in the world... flat mats, cheese mats, my trampoline- i can even do a half twisting back layout on my trampoline. I just wish I could get it. It's probably going to be like my back walkover. I couln't even do it on my trampoline and finally I got fed up with it and kicked over on the floor. It was 2 days from gymnastics tryouts, too. I just wish my back handspring was that easy. -Fed Up Asha

Movie Review

Madea's Family Reunion (4 stars)

This movie is a great family movie for kids 12+. It is super hilarious but has real life situations that could happen to anyone. I give this movie 4 stars.

Stick It (5 stars)

This movie is very funny and is about one of my favorite subjects... Gymnastics. Now many of you might not know who this person is, but Nastia Liukin (Gold medal champion of women's gymnastics in the olympics of 08') guest starred in this movie. That would make a gymnastics fan like me very happy! This movie is about a teen girl named Haley who has, let's say... mingled with law enforcement and is forced to go to a gymnastics academy. She rebels there and is very stubborn with the coach. Haley's philosophy is "If you are not going to give it all you got, then why bother?" She is sick of being judged but soon realized that she is one of the most judgemental people she knows. I give this movie 5 stars.

The Gift Mix- Up

There once was a girl named Marie and a boy named Mark. They were brother and sister. One day, they realized it was getting really close to Christmas. They both wanted to get each other something special for Christmas. They didn't have much money themselves and they didn't want to ask their parents for money. Marie decided she would sell a nice diamond pendant that she had to buy her brother some CD's to play on his radio. Mark decided he would sell his radio to buy Marie a chain for the diamond pendant that she had. Marie was always asking for a chain for her pendant and Mark was always asking for CD's for his radio. On Christmas morning, they opened their presents and were really surprised. That was when they realized how much they would do for each other.
